And it’s the last A-Team preview! Thanks to some preview art provided by editor extraordinaire and fearsome jarhead TOM WALTZ, I get to share some of the fun I had working on the A-Team: War Stories one shots from IDW!

This final preview features MURDOCK, with artwork by GUIU VILANOVA!

Because of the tight deadline, Chuck Dixon and I split the work on these four books between us by taking two books each. There was some cross-pollination of ideas, though, which was good for the soul. And to make sure we didn’t cover the same ground. Not a problem with Murdock.

Here we are at the beginning. Murdock’s doing what he does: trying to escape the hospital he’s been committed in. Not successfully, as we see here. By the way, I *love* Guiu’s interpretation of Sharlto Copley as Murdock.

Murdock gives the orderly a little bit of attitude before settling in for a session, and I cannot WAIT for y’all to read what he’s giving attitude about.

…But it can’t all be talking, or we’d have a boring book on our hands. That’s why the subject of Murdock’s session was his recollections of one of his last Desert Storm missions, and this flashback shows a little bit of that. Key words: Murdock’s recollections.

At this point in my career, this is the favorite thing that I’ve written. Why? Nostalgic for the old show, the batty-insane things I was allowed to do, and some jokes that I hope are actually funny. (Ego bolstered when I got thumbs up on the humor.)

I really can’t wait to hear what people think of this one.

To sum up: Me, Guiu Vilanova, Murdock, Insanity.

MURDOCK will be on sale in APRIL from IDW!
